Leadership and The Other-Oriented Mindset

Watching sports talk on YouTube TV this week when I should have been working, I was stopped in my lazy tracks by a conversation between The Herd show host, Colin Cowherd, and the greatest-QB-of-all-time, Tom Brady. Cowherd was talking about the importance of humility to quarterback success, and Brady weighed in with a description of other-oriented leadership so good that I wished I’d thought to say it that way myself when I was writing last week’s post.

I guess he’s the GOAT in more ways than one.

You can see and hear it for yourself below. Just substitute the word “anchor” everytime you hear Cowherd or Brady say “quarterback.”

If you want to be great, commit to making everyone around you great. You can take it to the bank…or to multiple Super Bowls.

Either way, it’s playing to win.
